Thought for the day - Be a Child

Thought for the day - Be a Child

A survey across the world asking people about the “best days of their life” would give a unanimous opinion – childhood. The beautiful memories of childhood are cherished by each one of us – times when we were so innocent and pure, so carefree, so very blissful. Where does that childhood vanish? Trust me, there is a child within each one of us. A child that is innocent and doesn’t want to harm anyone on purpose. A child that knows that there is someone to care for him, and so he need not worry. A child that is loved and loves without any prejudice. A child that loves to play and is playful.

So, bring out that child in you today. For today, feel carefree. Don’t be bothered by anything – stock markets, petrol prices or neighbors. Dare to be free of worry, with a secured feeling that things are the way they are supposed to be. Most of us stop playing games when we grow up. So today, dig up your favorite board game and play it with friends. If there is a song that you love you’d sing along, without bothering how nice or rough your voice is, just sing!. As a child, be spontaneous.

If you feel hesitant about being the child all by yourself, be so with some child – that is socially acceptable! And when the child smiles back at you, you’ll see the joy that it fills you up with. You can call all the children to your place and have a bash with them too. You’ll be the most famous uncle in the locality, and the children will flock around you too!. It’s basically all about enjoying what you do and doing what you enjoy. So if you really enjoy being a child, why not be one?

So as a child for the day, love everyone without any hesitation. Remember, everyone is waiting to get love – and you can start out by being the giver. At the end of the day, recollect your day’s experiences. You’ll see that spending even an hour as a child was beneficial – and fills you with positivity.
